Even though Devanand hails from a family of farmers, he knew farming wasn’t for him and decided to pursue tailoring instead. He started training at 23 and joined The Burnt Soul more than three years ago. Devanand describes himself as a perfectionist. He values the fact that the work environment at The Burnt Soul is respectful.

“I always try to give my 100 per cent. It makes me happy,” he discloses. Devanand is also a family man. He lives in Delhi with his three kids and wife. Even though he was quite studious as a child, he couldn’t continue his education. However, he now wants his kids to finish their studies successfully and pursue professions as diverse as medicine and teaching.
